I started working for a store in Grand Rapids called The Cheese Lady. There are all these Mucha illustrations on the walls, but while Mucha illustrated ads for wine, beer, chocolate, coffee, tea, and other such fancies, he never did one for cheese. So I made one myself. The text translates to "The cheese lady of the Grand Rapids." It's all hand lettered, hand painted, and the patterns in the background were made by me. Painted in ArtRage, borders done in Illustrator, assembled in Photoshop.
I know I pretty much stopped using my DA, but I'd like to have a record of when I created this.
"À la grande vitesse" means "to the high speed"...
However, as a native french speaker, I would translate the text as "The lady with the cheese with a great speed". To get the sentence you meant, it would be "La dame au fromage des grands rapides" if you are talking about water. Just a head-ups~
